Kailani: Arome Agency's Award-Winning Magnesium Packaging

Revolutionizing Health and Wellness with Minimalist Design

Unveiling Kailani, a groundbreaking magnesium packaging design by Arome Agency that has won the prestigious Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2020. This design embodies modernity, health, and sport, appealing to a young, health-conscious demographic.

With inspiration drawn from minimalist health and sports packaging, Arome Agency has created a unique identity for Kailani. This design stands out due to its 100% natural magnesium supplementation method, which is easily absorbed through the skin. Transdermal application, as offered by Kailani, is lauded as the safest and most effective way to raise the body's magnesium level. The product range, presented in environmentally friendly packaging, is designed to promote health and well-being for the whole family.

The realization of Kailani's design involved the creation of waterproof and oilproof labels for a better and easier use of the product. The agency aimed for useful packaging that can be both used at home and while traveling, requiring small and resistant packaging that fits every style of use. The labels are composed of Kailani's identity, created by Arome, and the name of the product. The modernity, sobriety, and a reminder of the sea, where the magnesium comes from, are combined in the wave symbol on the label.

The design project, which started in November 2018 and ended in April 2019, was carried out in Avignon. It took the team five months to create the identity, the packaging, and also a website shop for Kailani products. The team members who contributed to this design include Delphine Goyon, Catherine Alamy, and Rémi Vicente.

The design process involved extensive research into new consumer trends centered on the search for well-being, staying healthy, and using the most natural products possible. The wave symbol on the label is significant as the sea is a symbol of well-being and peace. It reminds the consumer that the product is natural and good for their body. The challenge in creating this packaging was that this product is new to the market. The team had to design packaging that was in tune with the times and their values of sobriety and efficiency, while also meeting customer expectations.

Arome Agency's work on the graphic identity and artistic line for Kailani packaging is based on minimal and clean design. This minimalism is in line with the product that has only one ingredient, magnesium. The typography chosen is strong and typed, characterizing both the strength of the mineral magnesium and the strength of the product, which restores vitality and energy to consumers. The design was awarded Silver in the A' Packaging Design Award in 2020, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
